Apple inc has release a digital camera raw compatibility update for their photography software. That is Aperture 3, and Iphoto ’09.This Camera RAW update is version 3.2. And support for nine additional digital cameras and processing issues of file from the canon eos 30D, Pentax K-7 Digital SLR, and Pentak K-X. recreating a vintage Hollywood portrait
A few months to a few friends and I did a test shoot, rebuilding a vintage Hollywood portraits. While a number of features of the shoot, I would like to share some general thoughts about the shot approach to this as a test. Each photographer has his own way of doing things, but here are a few things that have worked well for me.
Colaboration
It all starts with an idea and grows from there. I had a new beauty dish for testing and my friend Kelly (a talented photographer and stylist) and I were looking for a project to work. For me, reminiscent of a beauty dish pictures from the 40s, a time before softboxes and flash units. A vintage portrait seemed a perfect application and an opportunity to try and connect with the work of artists such as George Hurrell portrait.

.Photography’s Longest Exposure
Six months. That’s right. This dream-like picture shows each phase of the sun over Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge taken during half a year.
The image was captured on a pin-hole camera made from an empty drinks can with a 0.25mm aperture and a single sheet of photographic paper.
Photographer Justin Quinnell strapped the camera to a telephone pole overlooking the Gorge, where it was left between December 19, 2007 and June 21, 2008–the Winter and Summer solstices.
‘Solargraph’ shows six months of the sun’s luminescent trails and its subtle change of course caused by the earth’s movement in orbit. The lowest arc being the first day of exposure on the Winter solstice, while the top curves were captured mid-Summer. Read the rest of this entry »
